Visible Muscle Anatomy Leggings (VISIBLE SP-01)

Leggings showing superficial and deep muscles

Product overview

This product is a pair of leggings designed for learning the internal structure of the human body — including the muscles and skeleton of the lower limbs — and for training in treatment and clinical techniques. The left half of the leggings depicts the deep muscular layer; the right half depicts the superficial layer. When worn, each muscle and bone is illustrated as accurately as possible to correspond to its actual location on the body.

Until now, learning typically involved comparing textbooks and skeletal specimens with a living person. That approach is indirect, lacks a tangible sense of the body, and is not always highly effective. Wearing these leggings makes it possible to confirm and visualize the position and appearance of bones and muscles more directly on the wearer’s body, greatly improving learning and stimulating curiosity.

Like the previously released T-shirt model, these leggings are made from a highly stretchable, durable fabric. They come in one size, with a 69 cm inseam and a recommended waist range of 64–80 cm. Their close fit helps learners relate the printed illustrations to the underlying anatomy. The alignment of the illustrations with the body’s anatomical structures may vary slightly depending on body shape.

Suggested uses

These leggings can be used as a teaching aid in anatomy and kinesiology classes for visually learning muscle arrangement in the lower limbs and trunk, in rehabilitation education, and in training settings.

Guidebook

The guidebook describes the origin, insertion, innervation, and function of each muscle. Using it alongside the garment helps learners develop a more concrete understanding of anatomy by relating the illustrations to the wearer’s body.
